More raunchy photos of teen queen and overblown Disney “singing” sensation Miley Cyrus have hit the net, and these might just be “the most controversial yet.” Snore.

It’s just too obvious that Miley herself is releasing the photos in an effort to distance herself from her persona as “Hannah Montana”, the hit Disney show she stars in.

But the problem is this: No one cares. No one.

None of the TV news magazines covered the non-event. There are literally no other mentions in the online press about the story, except for a few blogs, like GossipGirl.

Cyrus, the 15-year-old star of “Hannah Montana” and the idol of millions of directionless teens around the world, has spun her Annie Leibowitz Vanity Fair photo non-controversy, into a 10-second media blip through excellent public relations spin, where she feigned sadness over the picture of her back.

Snore.

Last week, the poster girl for clean celebrity living showed up at the Teen Choice Awards, hanging out on the red carpet with Fergie.

You know, “My Humps, My Lovely Lady Lumps, Check “Em Out”, Fergie. Nothing protects your squeaky clean image more that hanging out with Fergilicious.

Once again, Fox News reported a rep for Cyrus as saying the photos were old. Oh good, she was 13 or 14 when they were shot, and not 15. That’s a relief.

Four more “racy” photos were released to the net, one of Cyrus in a bikini and another showing the singer wearing white underwear and poking her bottom at the camera. Another shows her pulling up her shirt to reveal her stomach.

Snore.

Cyrus claims that she took the photos for her boyfriend Nick Jonas, kinda like Vanessa Hudgins did for Zac Efron. Then, her phone got hacked, kinda like Vanessa phone got hacked. Cyrus is looking to have a breakout hit records, kinda like Vanessa did. And Miley’s reaaaal sorry, kinda like Vanessa was.

But unlike Vanessa, the photos keep popping up. Like every other week now.

But still, WE DON’T CARE.

Last week, Cyrus announced she was ready to move on from her Hannah Montana persona, and would not be signing up for a new season of the hit Disney show. A great career move. Just ask Hilary Duff.

In related news, Miley’s new album debuted at #1 last week, only to fall off the earth this week, and relinquish the top of the charts title to Sugarland’s new effort.

“Breakout” broke down almost 56% from the week’s prior sales. They call it “bubble gum pop” for a reason, folks.

The “Access Hollywood” interview in which Obama and his wife Michelle allowed daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to participate opened a curtain on a potential president’s family’s selling out of privacy. Hey, maybe they’ll get a Nick Jr. show out of it.

Although their parents did most of the talking and the girls mostly looked like they’d rather be anywhere else on the planet, Obama later said he and his wife got carried away, and later claimed it was a mistake to do it.

The interview, painfully spread out in four parts on the show last week, was conducted by correspondent Maria Menounos when the Obamas were in Montana on July 4.

In a rash of paparazzi-like zeal, entertainment newsmagazines have done many light personality segments on the candidates, giving them a non-challenging opportunity to show off their human side, and in return, score huge rating by showing the candidates whore off their loved ones and close associates.

One might think that Obama would take a page from the MaCain campaign. After all, if anyone would have an ample opportunity to show off his family, it’s McCain. Three of McCain’s four sons have served in the military.

Death Row Records, the hip-hop label that released nearly 20 years of gangster rap with albums by Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, has been auctioned for a palty $24 million.

New York-based Global Music Group Inc. said Monday that on June 24 it purchased Death Row, including its huge back catalog and current artist contracts. Now maybe we’ll finally get a count on how many unreleased Tupac records are still in the vaults.

The purchase ended the ride of one of hip-hop’s most notorious labels. Under owner Marion “Suge” Knight, Death Row sold tens of millions of albums in the heyday of early ’90s rap.

In 2006, a federal judge ordered a bankruptcy trustee takeover of Death Row Records, after a former couple, Lydia and Michael Harris, claimed they helped found the label, and won a judgment of $107 million. Knight’s decision to file for bankruptcy protection staved off a move by the court to appoint someone to take control of the record label and his assets.

Global Music Group, an independent label, takes ownership of the Death Row catalog, including Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic,” Shakur’s “All Eyez on Me” and Snoop Dogg’s “Doggystyle.”

Global Music CEO Anthony Davi, Jr., said the label was taking steps to get “the best economic results of the catalog and provide long term stewardship of the artists’ work.”

The company plans to announce details of its plans for Death Row in the near future.

The new product is as a result of the collaboration between Powder Paper, an Israeli company and Omnireliant, the licensees of the brand. The patch is being marketed as being able to treat numerous skin care needs such as photo-damage, wrinkles, and other age related problems. The beauty patch will be part of the Kathy Hilton Private Beauty Spa Collection. Reports indicate that both companies will work together to create products for Hilton to be sold in the premium market.

As if Donald Trump didn’t have enough control over money. Now he’s thinking about carrying his tycooning abilities over into daytime TV.

According to reports, Trump has taken quite a liking to TV. After producing and starring in his hit NBC show The Apprentice, insiders reveal to the Hollywood Reporter that Trump is considering hosting a syndicated daytime show as well.

Trump is making plans to develop a Judge Judy-Dr. Phil type show in which he would serve as a host/ mediator / counselor for people involved in money-related matters.

The show would cover a wide range of things, from divorces to the need to teach someone about money matters.

The half-hour series is expected to be announced as a Fall 2008 debut.

Trump is also working on a “Apprentice / Surreal Life” mashup, a B-list celebrity version of The Apprentice. Trump originally wanted to cast Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael, but network lawyers shot down the idea.

Due to Lohan’s criminal record and current parole status, the lawyers thought it wouldn’t work for the show. In his place, producers have reportedly cast Stephen Baldwin.

The show is currently filming in and around New York and features Sopranos star Vincent Pastore, Omarosa, KISS frontman Gene Simmons, boxer Lennox Lewis, former model Carol Alt and Marilu Henner, according to a report in the New York Post.

Nicole Ritchie, in attempt to salvage her last 3 minutes of fame before she vanishes off the Hollywood radar due to motherhood, wants to prove to you that’s she’s responsible. And that she’s a role model.

Nicole Richie has stated that she wants to do her time in the Los Angeles County jail.

Nicole’s lawyer contacted the county Sheriff’s Department earlier this week, according to reports, and has stated the reality TV star wants to serve her four-day sentence in “da county” instead than a city jail, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Thursday. Cause in the county, you know everybo-day (Ice Cube reference there).

Whitmore said he had no additional details about when Richie might surrender to begin the time behind bars that she must finish by Sept. 28.

In the county slam, inmates often serve only a fraction of their sentence for various reasons, including overcrowding and good behavior. The county also has a special women’s-only facility in Lynwood. It’s the same place where Richie’s friend Paris Hilton recently finished up a 23-day stay for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Whether Hilton recommended the jail for its upscale amenities is unknown.

Richie was arrested in December for driving the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank.

The daughter of Lionel Richie, who confirmed earlier this week that she’s pregnant, pleaded guilty last week to a misdemeanor charge in a deal with prosecutors that helped her avoid a potential year in jail on her second DUI conviction. The “Simple Life” star was sentenced to do 90 hours, either in county jail or at any city jail in the county that would accept her.

We at NP guess that she’s happy enough having the adopted family and the sex with Pitt to not actually care about a little thing called commitment to him. Well that just sucks, in our view.

Despite starting a family with Brad, the actress doesn’t want to become his wife. I’m sure that Mr. Pitt feels good about that. We’re predicting the breakup within the year.

Angelina told RD: “We’ve both been married before. Our focus when we got together was family, and we are legally bound to our children. That really seems to be the most important thing.”

Kathy Hilton, the mother of the hamburger thong spokesgirl, made sure that the cameras were all on her at her daughter’s probation-violation hearing Friday.

She actually had the audacity to laugh when a prosecutor stated that the younger Hilton deserved her prescribed jail time. And when the judge gave the sentence to the 26-year-old reality star to serve 45 days in county jail, Kathy Hilton yelled out: “May I have your autograph?”

Being a media ho herself, she continued with reporters outside, saying “This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke.”

Momma Hilton is no stranger to the spotlight. Guess that’s where Paris gets it. She once guest starred on “Happy Days” in 1977. She also appeared on “The Rockford Files” in 1978.

Also on her resume: a program on QVC and a starring role in her own NBC reality show in 2005, “I Want to Be a Hilton,” in which contestants competed for a chance to live like a socialite for a year (of course without the drunk driving arrests, or the sex tapes).

“Anytime your kids stumble, you question yourself as a parent,” says Dorian Traube, a professor of social work at the University of Southern California.

“She has one daughter that’s done really well and another that keeps stumbling in the public eye. For a family that’s very prominent, it’s probably quite humiliating.”

“It’s common for families to come and show support in high-profile court cases, but Hilton’s outspoken behavior is a little unusual.”

“Kathy Hilton acted as if her daughter was a minor in the way she had to give a statement,” Traube said. “Not only is she enabling Paris’ behavior, she’s perpetuating it.”

Kathy Hilton’s spokespeople had no comment about Traube’s statements.
